I get asked which broker to use more often than any other question I receive. In short, my response is that you can use whichever regulated broker you like. However, one of my personal favourites is IC Markets.
In this blog post, I have detailed how you can setup an IC Markets account and link it to metatrader 4 (MT4) on your phone.
To get started, please link through to IC Markets by clicking here.
Please now follow these instructions. You can either click ‘start trading’ to setup a LIVE account or ‘Try a Free Demo’ to setup a Demo trading account.
Once you have clicked either of the above links, Choose IC MARKETS (AU) from the dropdown if requested. Otherwise, please choose your country of operation from the dropdown, for example ‘United Kingdom’.
Always ensure the ‘I was referred by an Introducing Broker‘ box is ticked; Refer ID: 31220 should be displayed. If you cannot see this, then please enter ‘31220’ as the Refer ID.
Once you have entered the above details, click the checkbox and click ‘Register’. IC Markets will email you your login details and send you directly to your logged in page.
You can then choose MT4, ‘Raw Spread’ and leverage 1:500 from the drop downs. You can also choose your currency in accordance with your location.
Once logged in, you can open further demo or live accounts. Use the ‘open a new MT4 demo account’ from the demo account dropdown for a demo account and choose ‘live’ for a live account.
You will also be requested to upload your documents for proof of address and identity. Please keep your login details secure as you will be transferring funds to your broker account to trade with.
